SUNBEAM FOOD SCALES.  
• Do not place objects on top of the scales when  
not in use or in storage.  
• Always lift your kitchen scales from the base.  
• Always operate on a flat level surface.  
• Use a 9V Alkaline battery (not included).  
• Remove the battery if the scales are not being  
used for a prolonged period.

Features of your Food Scales  
Technology Strain Gauge  
With Strain-Gauge technology, the Sunbeam  
Food Scales weigh ingredients accurately,  
regardless of where it is positioned on the  
glass weighing platform.  
Power saving LCD display  
The large LCD display makes  
it easy to see weights and  
warnings.  
Gram/Ounce measurements  
The large LCD display will display either  
gram or ounce measurements for use with  
metric or imperial recipes.

800ml measuring bowl  
Large 800ml capacity bowl is ideal for  
measuring dry and wet ingredients.  
Add & weigh/zero function  
‘Zero’ function allows you to zero the weight of  
any type of container to which consecutive  
ingredients can be added, yet weighed  
individually.  
Automatic power off function

Using your Food Scales  
1. Install a 9V alkaline battery in the  
underneath of the unit, replace the  
battery cover and place scales on a flat  
level surface.  
2. Press the ‘Zero’ button and add your next  
ingredient to the bowl. The LCD will  
display the weight only of the last item  
added.  
Note: Rechargeable batteries are not  
suitable for the Food Scales electronic  
food scales.  
3. Repeat step 2 for weighing any additional  
ingredients.  
Overloading function  
When the Food scales electronic food scales  
is overloaded, the LCD will display: EEEE  
Remove the weight immediately, as the  
excess weight may damage the scales.  
2. If using the bowl or any other container,  
place container on platform before  
turning on the scale.  
3. The Food scales weighs in grams or  
ounces.  
To select your preference, simply slide  
the switch on the bottom/base of the scale.  
4. Turn on the Food Scales by pressing the  
On button. The LCD will display 0g or  
0.0lbs, oz.  
Low battery indicator  
When the battery is running low, the LCD will  
display: batt.  
Replace the 9V alkaline battery.  
Replacing your battery  
5. Place ingredients either in the container  
or directly onto the weighing platform.  
The weight will be displayed on the LCD  
display. As more ingredients are added  
the weight displayed on the LCD will  
automatically increase.  
1. To replace your battery, remove the  
battery cover on the underside of the  
scales.  
2. Place the new 9V alkaline battery on to  
the battery plug and press firmly into  
place.  
Add & Weigh / Zero function  
3. Replace the battery cover.  
Your Food scales electronic food scales  
allows you to add consecutive items to the  
container, whilst weighing each item  
individually.  
Note: Remove the battery whenever the  
scales will be stored for a prolonged period  
of time.

scales electronic food scales.

Care and Cleaning  
Turn the Food Scales off when not in use and  
remove the battery if storing for prolonged  
periods.  
stubborn dirt, wipe with a damp cloth and  
mild detergent and wipe dry.  
Do not place the food scales in the dishwasher.  
Note: Never store with anything on top of  
your food scales, as the excess weight may  
damage them.  
Note: Never immerse the food scales in water.  
Wipe the weighing platform with a soft,  
slightly damp cloth and wipe dry. For
