Congratulations on your purchase of the Home Theater Scaler Pro. Your  
complete satisfaction is very important to us.

The Gefen Home Theater Scaler Pro is a professionally Scaled Analog Video,  
Component and HDMI AV Sources Using the Acclaimed Realta Chip  
The Gefen Home Theater Scaler Pro enables scaling, source switching and  
advanced enhancement of SD/HD Component and HDMI source content at  
resolutions of up to 1080p in full HD, with advanced and versatile audio/video  
signal processing abilities. Step up to the top-of-the-line Hollywood Quality Video  
(HQV) processor, providing true 12-bit color/10-bit processing with adaptive  
scaling, cadence detection, de-interlacing, noise reduction and improved images  
for projectors thanks to eWARP2 Geometry Processing. Enhance and scale AV  
content from such devices as set-top boxes, DVD players and gaming consoles  
such as the Xbox 360 and the PS3.  
How It Works  
Connect AV source(s) to the Home Theater Scaler Pro with an appropriate kind  
of input cable(s) for the source(s). Connect a display or projector to the Home  
Theater Scaler Pro’s HDMI output connection. Plug in the power supply to the  
Home Theater Scaler Pro, and a beautiful HD picture will appear on the HD  
display. Easy-to-use on-screen menus, accessible using the IR remote control,  
allow for effortless setup and image adjustment to accommodate different  
viewing modes and screen sizes.

OPERATING THE HOME THEATER SCALER PRO  
The GefenTV Scaler Pro can accept DVI video as input with an optional adapter  
cable, sold as Optional Accessories:-  
DVI to HDMI Cables:  
Copper Based DVI Cables: Copper based cables with lengths of 6,10,15,30  
and 50 feet. HDMI use a much smaller, user-friendly connector than the DVI  
connector. The specication handles high-bandwidth, uncompressed video and  
multi-channel digital audio as well, all in one cable. These cables are HDCP  
compliant.  
HDTV Resolutions Supported: The 1-30 foot cables are good for the following  
resolution: 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p. The 40 and 50 foot cables are good  
for resolutions up to 1080i. With a DVI Repeater/Booster the 40 and 50 foot  
cables are good for resolutions up to 1080p.  
Computer Resolutions Supported: The 1-15 foot cables are good for resolutions  
up to 1920x1200. The 30 and 50 foot cables are good for resolutions up to  
1280x1024. With a DVI Repeater/Booster the 30 and 50 foot cables are good for  
resolutions up to 1920x1200.

WARRANTY  
Gefen warrants the equipment it manufactures to be free from defects in material  
and workmanship.  
If equipment fails because of such defects and Gefen is notied within two (2)  
years from the date of shipment, Gefen will, at its option, repair or replace the  
equipment, provided that the equipment has not been subjected to mechanical,  
electrical, or other abuse or modications. Equipment that fails under conditions  
other than those covered will be repaired at the current price of parts and labor in  
effect at the time of repair. Such repairs are warranted for ninety (90) days from  
the day of reshipment to the Buyer.  
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including  
without limitation, any implied warranty or merchantability or tness for any  
particular purpose, all of which are expressly disclaimed.  
1. Proof of sale may be required in order to claim warranty.  
2. Customers outside the US are responsible for shipping charges to and from  
Gefen.  
3. Copper cables are limited to a 30 day warranty and cables must be in their  
original condition.
